Meet handsome and sweet Amsterdam who wants nothing more than to be pet and have his head scratched! This young boy, estimated at about 2 years old, is healthy, neutered , negative for FIV and FELV, fully vaccinated, and microchipped.  He has lived with other cats before, so he wouldn't mind having a  sweet feline playmate, or a home that would give him lots of love and attention. He has perfect litter box habits, and is simply a good natured, adorable boy.

Amsterdam was rescued from a sad life living in a dirty basement of an apartment building in Washington Heights . Our rescuers got the call from a concerned community member after they heard management wanted him and the other cats living in that basement gone. We rescued him and "Georgie Washington" (also up for adoption). Amsterdam was so scared down there, he wouldn't come down from the pipes when we came to his rescue. We took a ladder and had to pull him down from the pipes ourselves (we have photos for proof if you want to see those!)  That is when Amsterdam realized he was safe, and he hasn't looked back since!
