Atticus is a darling big hearted boy looking for his second chance at a good life. This super sweet and gentle and super playful boy holds zero grudges against the humans who did him wrong alongside side his brother Maximus. Atticus was found with his brother Maximus abandoned in a stuffy , dirty , attic , after the tenants were evicted . Completely in shock , the landlord discovered them in the attic , with no ventilation, and no food left and immediately contacted his cat loving neighbor , who reached out to us to come to the rescue ! We jumped into action. Upon walking into the attic we could only find Maximus at first - but after using a flashlight we found sweet Atticus had shoved himself into a corner of the attic so far , that we had to cut the dry wall. He was so petrified from being abandoned in that hot attic - but as scared as he was , as we cut away the dry wall, he let us. He didn’t try to hurt us at all- he knew we were there to help him.
Atticus is a very lucky boy and , although he still has some weight to lose from a diet of low quality dry food (he is about 17 pounds now) he is an otherwise healthy , happy , purring , snuggly boy who cannot wait for his new home ! He is to be adopted without Maximus - turns out being stuck in a hot attic doesn’t make you the best of friends anymore !
Atticus should be adopted into an home that will engage in play with him , he loves to play and it’s helping him get healthy! He could be a single cat to a home that will give him a lot of love , or a home with other friendly cats .
Atticus is neutered, up to date on vaccines , microchipped, treated for potential parasites and fleas , and negative for FIV and FELV
